ITINERARY
DAY 1
On arrival in Luang Prabang, you will be picked up by your local guide and taken to your hotel. After a break, your guide will take you to Mount Phousi, where you will climb atop to enjoy the panoramic view of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River. If the weather is pleasant, you could also admire the fascinating sunset. Afterward, you could ramble through the night market before returning to your hotel.

DAY 3
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Mekong River and embark on a cruise upstream to enjoy a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside as well as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. On the way, you will also stop to visit Ban Xanghai Village, famous for local whiskey – Lao-Lao. After the visit to the amazing cave, you will sail back to Ban Xanghai Village to watch Saa Jute Paper production.

DAY 5
After breakfast, you will start the guided tour today by visiting the Central Market, where you will get close to the local lifestyle. Then you will be taken to Site 2 and Site 3 of Plain of Jars for a deeper exploration. Later, you will be guided to visit the UXOMAG Exhibition Room to learn about mine clearance. Finishing the visits, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Vientiane.

Day 7
In the morning, you will be taken to the airport and take an early morning flight to Pakse. On landing, you will be picked up by your local guide and be taken to Saravane. You will pass through Tateng Village and have a stopover to learn how the local people make tea and coffee. Later you will arrive at the wondrous Tad Lo Waterfall, where you will also pay a visit to the nearby villages of Alak, Nge, and Katu ethnic minority groups. After that, you will be escorted back to your hotel in Pakse in the late afternoon.

Day 9
There are a number of waterfalls on Khone Island. Today you will have the chance to explore two of the famous ones, which are really beautiful. Before that, you will be guided to visit some of the countrysides nearby. Then you will board a long tail boat to visit Liphi Waterfall and Khone Falls. At the end of the trip, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

DAY 2
In the early morning, you will be guided to watch the famous daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms from the faithful residents. Afterward, you will be taken back to your hotel for breakfast. And then explore visit Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and the Royal Palace Museum – the former king’s palace (closed on Tuesdays). There are many items nicely displayed, including rare furniture, traditional costumes, and arts, jewelry, ornaments as well as working tools and utensils. After a big lunch, you will then be driven to the beautiful Kuang Si Falls, where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails.

DAY 4
After breakfast, you will be escorted to Xieng Khouang by a private car. Upon arrival, you will be guided to go straight to visit the mystical Site 1 of Plain of Jars, which has 331 stone vats in various sizes and shapes. After the visit, you will be taken to your hotel for a good rest.

DAY 6
After breakfast, you will be guided to discover the long history and rich culture of Vientiane by visiting Wat Sisaket featuring over 10,000 Buddha statues, the magnificent Wat Ho Phra Keo, the national monument of Laos – Pha That Luang Temple, and the well-known landmark Patuxay Monument. After finishing the visits, you will be escorted back to your hotel.

DAY 8
After breakfast, your guide will take to visit Wat Phu Ruins, which pre-date Angkor. Then you will get to the famous 4000 Islands Region, where you will be accompanied to explore by boat.
